ACL Medical Displays with DICOM Characteristic Curve

Standard monitors for general use have grayscale tone characteristics which may vary even between the same models. In the medical field, monitors must display medical images properly and consistently. Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 specifies a display function for grayscale which is now used as a standard to adjust the grayscale tone characteristics of monitors used in the medical field.

The ACL Medical Displays DICOM-line has as special feature the Calibration compliant with the DICOM Part 14 standard. Ideal for viewing patient charts with MRI and CT medical images.

The ACL DICOM-series medical displays are equipped with a graphics display in conformity with DICOM enabling you to select two enhanced characteristic curves with the touch of a button for viewing radiological images. The different brightnesses and gray tones are shown for adapting to the peculiarities of human perception giving you even better gray tone differentiation. The MD-D-series has been specially enhanced for viewing images from digital image distribution. The DICOM tone value curves have been preset in the factory to guarantee distortion-free gray tones rendering for viewing radiological images.
